 You can get to and from Portland International Airport (PDX) by train, bus, shuttle, taxi or limousine.
Services go from outside the front of the terminal exit on the lower level, while trains depart from the station near concourses A and B. By road, the journey to downtown Portland takes about 40 minutes.
Travel by Buses
There are two public bus services that serve Portland International Airport including the TriMet Bus service number 12, which runs to 5th avenue in downtown Portland. The Gray Line Airport Express Bus also runs to the city center throughout the day, but is more expensive than the TriMet Bus.
Travel by Shuttle Buses
If you are traveling in a group or you have a large family, taking a shuttle bus may be the best option for getting to Portland or your hotel. Shuttle companies that operate from the airport include Blue Star Airporter-Oregon, Blue Star Airporter-Washington, Breeze, Community Shuttle and Eagle Shuttle. Shuttles go from outside the front of the terminal building throughout the day.
Travel by Hotel Shuttles
Many hotels in the area provide a free pickup service for those with reservations and there is a board in the Arrivals Hall on the lower level of the terminal building that displays which hotels offer this service.
Travel by Trains
Possibly the cheapest and least stressful option for traveling to downtown Portland from Portland International Airport (PDX) is to take the TriMet MAX light rail service, which goes from the southern end of the terminal. The light rail network also runs to Beaverton and makes several stops near major hotels. There are ticket machines in Arrivals or you can buy your ticket at the station.
Travel by Taxi Cabs
For fast access to downtown from the airport, a fleet of taxis await arrivals outside the airport. Taxi firms include Broadway Cab Company, Green Cab, New Rose City Cab Company, Portland Taxi Company and Radio Cab Company. Taxis can be hailed on-the-spot or pre-booked and wheelchair-friendly vehicles are available on request.
Travel by Limousines
Portland International Airport (PDX) is served by several limousine operations, which offer residents and visitors fast and comfortable transfer options. Limousine operations that offer transfers from the airport include Eagle Towncar, Pacific Executive Pioneer, Executive Towncar, Prestige Limousine and WFJ Towncar Service.
